Dear future Delegates,
Interesting MUN conferences are coming up and the application period for the TUM Delegation 2014 is about to open. We would therefore like to introduce ourselves to you and get to know you personally. We therefore warmly invite you to one of our info events.
We’d be glad to see you there! If you are curious already, find details on upcoming conferences, the application process and more on our Join Us!-page.
it’s a pleasure to announce, that MUNTUM e.V. just published the first issue of its political journal – “The MUNTUM Journal”. It is the first political journal of TUM. Members of the whole MUNTUM Association including the current delegation in particular take the role of political journalists and report or comment on today’s political activities.
Have a look at the journal itself for more details!
We are looking forward to your feedback! We’d be glad if you could send us a few lines to info [at] worldmun [dot] de

On behalf of our partners from LMU Munich, MUNAM, we kindly draw your attention to the invitation to IsarMUN 2012:
you are hereby cordially invited to our fifth annual Isar Model United Nations (IsarMUN). On the weekend of December 14th to 16th 2012, students from all over Europe and beyond will meet at the Academy for Civic Education in Tutzing, just outside of Munich, to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing the international community today and inspire positive change. Please take note that registration is now open. The deadline for applications is the 18th November 2012.
Held on the shores of beautiful Lake Starnberg, our conference aspires to be a realistic and challenging portrayal of the United Nations. Even more, we aim to capture the unifying spirit of MUNs all over the world. MUN Societies, and dedicated student delegates such as your selves, play an essential role in creating awareness for the important work of the United Nations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
At IsarMUN 2012 we will be simulating four different committees. Each committee will present itself with interesting and current problems, with which the delegates will be challenged to find solutions.
Our United Nations Security Council will cover the topics of the “Situation in Somalia” and “Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction” while the United Nations Human Rights Council will be discussing the issues of “Minority Education Rights” and “The Legitimacy of Unilateral Coercive Measures in Defending Human Rights”. In addition we will be simulating a Syria Conference on “The future of Syria and its relations with neighbouring countries” and our European Council will meet on “The EU and the European Convention on Human Rights” and “Energy Policy of the EU”. More details on our councils and topics can be found on our website.
We are glad to announce that this years Isar Model United Nations will be held in cooperation with the Academy for Civic Education Tutzing. Due this cooperation we are able to provide beautiful conference rooms and full accommodation for our delegates.
IsarMUN will cost you only EUR 85 with full accommodation, meals and evening receptions (or EUR 65 without overnight stay and breakfast). For more information and the application form, please visit our website at www.isarmun.org or contact the Secretariat via info [at] isarmun [dot] org.
